We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Partner to support our portfolio of early-stage Startups. You will be responsible for maintaining clean financial records and ensuring our clients have a clear view of their burn rate and cash flow. This is a high-trust role that requires a deep understanding of startup accounting and a mastery of modern cloud-based tools.
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure 100% accuracy.
Process payroll and manage expense reimbursements for remote teams.
Prepare monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
Maintain a clean General Ledger and ensure all transactions are properly categorized.
Assist in year-end tax preparation and coordinate with external CPAs.
Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, specifically working with SaaS or Tech Startups.
Expertise: Strong understanding of Accrual vs. Cash accounting methods.
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Certification in Xero/QuickBooks is a plus).
Communication: Ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial founders.
Reliability: High level of integrity and strict adherence to data confidentiality.
Software: Expert-level proficiency in Xero and/or QuickBooks Online.
Integrations: Experience with auxiliary tools like Gusto (Payroll), Bill.com, or Ramp/Brex.
Spreadsheets: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Connectivity: Secure, high-speed internet and familiarity with password management tools (e.g., LastPass).
Shift: Flexible / Project-Based (Asynchronous work permitted).
Schedule: Part-time or Retainer-based (10–20 hours per month per client).
Mode: 100% Remote.
