Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Development Engineer to join our AWS Infrastructure team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, high-performance systems that power Amazon Web Services. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure systems to support AWS services.

• Develop automation tools and software to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, operations, and network engineering to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance AWS infrastructure performance.

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for mission-critical systems and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in Linux/Unix system administration and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go.

• Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and large-scale infrastructure.

• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and data.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform).

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure development, or related fields.

• Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure or large-scale enterprise systems.

• Prior experience in high-availability, high-performance computing environments is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with standard working hours; flexibility required for on-call rotation and support of critical systems.

• Remote, hybrid, or on-site schedules may apply depending on team requirements.
