As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating complex, cross-functional programs that drive the development, deployment, and operation of Amazons satellite initiatives. You will be responsible for managing technical programs end-to-end, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives. This role requires a highly organized, results-driven individual with strong technical acumen and proven leadership experience in large-scale aerospace, satellite, or high-tech engineering programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs related to satellite design, manufacturing, launch, and operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, software, regulatory, and business stakeholders to define program goals, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, and risk management frameworks to ensure timely project execution.

  • Drive proactive identification and mitigation of technical, schedule, and resource risks.

  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and executive leadership, ensuring stakeholders are informed of program status, challenges, and milestones.

  • Implement program management best practices, tools, and metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Mentor and guide junior program managers and team members, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Computer Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in program management of complex, technical initiatives, preferably in aerospace, satellite systems, or related high-tech industries.

  • Strong understanding of satellite systems, spacecraft development, launch operations, or network operations.

  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project tracking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

  • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).


Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in technical program management, with at least 3–5 years managing large-scale satellite, aerospace, or space-related programs.

  • Track record of delivering technical programs on-time, on-budget, and to high-quality standards.

  • Experience working in dynamic, innovative organizations with multi-disciplinary teams.


Working Hours

  • This is a full-time position.

  • Flexible work schedules may be accommodated; however, some travel and extended hours may be required to meet program milestones.
