Progressive Technology is seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Area Manager – Distribution Center Operations to lead and optimize daily warehouse and distribution center activities. This full-time role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, workforce productivity, and continuous improvement across assigned operational areas. The Area Manager will play a key leadership role in delivering high service levels, meeting performance targets, and supporting Progressive Technologys commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly associates to achieve operational and performance goals.
Oversee daily distribution center operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Drive productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, labor utilization, on-time delivery, and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Transportation, HR, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve operational challenges.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and performance management to meet fluctuating business demands.
Support change management initiatives and the implementation of new systems, technologies, or workflows.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Strong leadership and people-management capabilities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Proven ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
Solid understanding of distribution center operations, logistics, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
High level of accountability, ownership, and operational discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and operational reporting systems.
Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
3–6 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
Prior experience managing teams in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment is strongly preferred.
Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage.
Full-time (FTE) position.
Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or shift-based coverage depending on operational needs.
On-site role within the distribution center environment.
In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards and labor regulations.
