Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking dependable and physically capable Freight Unloaders to support our fast-paced logistics and warehouse operations. The Freight Unloader will be responsible for manually unloading, moving, and organizing freight from inbound shipments while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in physically demanding environments and take pride in contributing to smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually unload freight, pallets, and cartons from trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles

• Lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 50 lbs or more consistently throughout the shift

• Sort, stack, and stage freight according to shipment schedules and warehouse procedures

• Inspect freight for visible damage and report discrepancies or issues promptly

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

• Follow all workplace safety guidelines, lifting techniques, and operational procedures

• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet productivity targets

• Assist with additional warehouse tasks as assigned, including basic inventory handling

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy loads (50 lbs+ repeatedly)

• Strong physical stamina and endurance for extended periods of manual labor

• Basic understanding of warehouse and freight-handling procedures

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic

• Commitment to safety standards and proper lifting techniques

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, freight unloading, logistics, or manual labor is preferred

• Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

• Experience working in fast-paced or physically demanding environments is an advantage

Working Hours

• Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available

• Shifts may include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime based on operational needs

• Flexibility in scheduling is preferred
