Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Cold Storage Warehouse Associate – Food Prep & Safety to support our food handling and distribution operations. This role is critical to ensuring food products are prepared, stored, and handled safely in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in cold conditions, follow strict food safety standards, and contribute to efficient warehouse operations while maintaining the highest quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store food products in cold storage facilities according to safety and quality standards

• Prepare food items for packaging, labeling, and distribution while adhering to food safety regulations

• Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand carts (forklift operation if certified)

• Monitor storage temperatures and report any deviations or equipment issues

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment

• Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory procedures to ensure product freshness

• Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment

• Comply with all workplace health, safety, and food handling policies

• Accurately complete documentation related to inventory, food prep, and quality checks

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work in cold storage environments for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene

• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to required weight limits

• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory processes

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, food production, or food handling environment is preferred

• Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

• Food safety or handling experience is an advantage

Working Hours

• Full-time and part-time shifts available

• Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
