Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Data Analyst – FinTech & Liquidity Reporting to join our growing analytics and financial technology team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about data, financial systems, and technology-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will support liquidity analysis, regulatory reporting, and data-driven insights within a fast-paced FinTech environment. You will work closely with senior analysts, finance teams, and technology stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and timely delivery of insights that support strategic and operational decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, validation, and automation of liquidity and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large financial datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency

  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity reporting and monitoring activities

  • Develop dashboards and reports using BI and visualization tools to present insights clearly

  • Collaborate with FinTech, finance, risk, and compliance teams to understand data requirements

  • Perform data reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in financial and transactional data

  • Document data definitions, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies

  • Support regulatory and audit-related data requests as required

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data quality


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data

  • Familiarity with financial reporting concepts, liquidity metrics, or FinTech platforms is an advantage

  • Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English


Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, reporting, or a related role

  • Internship or academic project experience in FinTech, banking, financial services, or analytics is highly desirable

  • Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and relevant academic background are encouraged to apply


Working Hours

  • Full-time position

  • Standard business hours, Monday to Friday

  • Flexibility may be required during reporting cycles or project deadlines
