Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and user-focused Product Data Analyst – User Experience (UX) & Mixpanel to join our product and design analytics team. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, and Engineering teams to translate user behavior into actionable insights that improve customer experiences at scale. You will leverage data from Mixpanel and other analytics platforms to evaluate user journeys, identify friction points, and influence product decisions across Amazons digital ecosystem.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical rigor with a deep understanding of UX principles and a passion for customer-centric product development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user behavior and product performance using Mixpanel and other analytics tools to support UX and product decisions.

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, funnels, cohorts, and reports to track key UX and product KPIs.

  • Partner with UX designers and product managers to define success metrics for new features, experiments, and launches.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on user journeys, usability issues, drop-offs, and engagement trends.

  • Support A/B testing and experimentation by defining hypotheses, analyzing results, and presenting insights clearly.

  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and best practices in event tracking and analytics instrumentation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience, conversion, retention, and overall product usability.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in product analytics tools, especially Mixpanel (funnels, cohorts, retention, event-based analysis).

  • Solid understanding of UX metrics, usability principles, and customer journey analysis.

  • Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, or similar).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

  • Ability to communicate insights effectively through data storytelling and presentations.

  • Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.


Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or UX Analyst in a digital product environment.

  • Hands-on experience supporting UX or product teams with behavioral and usage data.

  • Experience working in agile or fast-paced product development environments is highly preferred.

  • Prior experience in e-commerce, consumer technology, SaaS, or large-scale digital platforms is a plus.
