Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Fashion Pattern Maker with expertise in digital grading to join our dynamic, remote design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise digital patterns and grading them across multiple sizes while ensuring accuracy, fit, and alignment with brand specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and modify fashion patterns digitally using industry-standard software.

• Perform digital grading to produce accurate patterns across multiple sizes.

• Ensure patterns meet brand standards, production requirements, and quality specifications.

• Collaborate closely with designers, technical designers, and production teams to refine fit and construction.

• Maintain organized and accurate digital pattern libraries and records.

• Review and troubleshoot pattern inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.

• Stay updated on trends in digital pattern making tools, techniques, and fashion industry standards.

• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in digital pattern-making software such as Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, CLO3D, or similar tools.

• Solid understanding of grading rules, size specifications, and apparel construction.

• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on fit, accuracy, and garment construction.

• Strong communication skills for virtual collaboration with team members and clients.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of fabric behavior, drape, and garment manufacturing processes.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fashion pattern making, with a focus on digital grading.

• Proven track record of producing high-quality patterns for various apparel categories (e.g., casual, formal, activewear).

• Prior experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position with flexible hours, ideally aligned with U.S. business hours for team collaboration.

• Occasional deadlines may require extended hours, which will be communicated in advance.

• In-depth knowledge of pattern development, grading systems, and digital pattern-making technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and correct pattern issues independently.
