Walgreens is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Specialty Coordinator – Enterprise Triage to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid/remote role, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient coordination of specialty pharmacy services. Serve as the primary point of contact for specialty pharmacy patients and healthcare providers, facilitating seamless communication and coordination.
Triage incoming specialty pharmacy referrals, inquiries, and authorizations efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with internal teams, including pharmacists, nursing staff, and case managers, to ensure patient needs are addressed in a timely manner.
Monitor and track patient progress, documentation, and compliance with therapy protocols.
Identify potential gaps in patient care or prescription workflows and escalate as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Walgreens enterprise systems while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory compliance standards.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient and provider concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelors degree in Health Administration, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy processes, clinical documentation, and healthcare regulations.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and healthcare information systems.
Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while maintaining accountability and collaboration.
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, patient care coordination, healthcare operations, or related healthcare field.
Prior experience with triage, case management, or healthcare customer service is highly preferred.
Full-time role with standard business hours; some flexibility may be required to accommodate patient or provider needs.
Hybrid/remote schedule may involve occasional in-office collaboration sessions depending on business needs.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
