Job Summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Post-Acute Care and Rehabilitation Centers. In this role, you will provide essential hands-on care and support to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering patient-centered, high-quality care in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

  • Support patients during rehabilitation activities as directed by nursing or therapy staff

  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately

  • Report changes in patient condition promptly to licensed nursing staff

  • Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent injury

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment

  • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and respectful care to patients and families

  • Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care

  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods


Experience

  • Previous experience in post-acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred

  • New graduates with strong clinical training and a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply

  • Experience working with elderly or medically complex patients is an advantage


Working Hours

  • Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available

  • Flexible scheduling, including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts

  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on facility needs
