UnitedHealthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our rehabilitation center teams. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from injury, surgery, or illness. Working overnight, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and continuity of care while supporting nurses and clinical staff in achieving optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
Provide direct patient care, including assistance with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, and feeding during night shifts
Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and any changes in behavior or health status
Assist patients with nighttime routines, repositioning, and comfort measures to promote rest and recovery
Support rehabilitation goals by encouraging safe movement and following care plans
Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations during overnight hours
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the applicable state
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently during night hours
Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely
Previous experience as a CNA in a rehabilitation center, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care setting is preferred
New graduates and entry-level CNAs are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training may be provided
Night shift positions, typically covering overnight hours (e.g., 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or equivalent)
Full-time and part-time schedules may be available, including weekends and holidays as required
Knowledge of basic patient care principles and rehabilitation support practices
Ability to observe, report, and document patient information accurately
Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on dignity and respect
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in emergencies or high-pressure situations
