Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote DevOps Assistant to join our technology operations team. You will assist senior DevOps engineers in managing cloud environments, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting deployment processes for various applications. Key Responsibilities

• Support the DevOps team in maintaining and improving continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

• Assist in the configuration and monitoring of cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.

• Collaborate with developers and system administrators to ensure smooth application deployments.

• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving system or deployment-related issues.

• Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes.

• Support automation tasks using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible (training provided if needed).

• Monitor system performance and assist in implementing scaling or optimization strategies.

• Learn and adopt best practices for cloud security, infrastructure management, and cost optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, basic networking, and version control systems like Git.

• Good understanding of CI/CD principles and common DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to collaborative projects.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in a DevOps, system administration, or cloud support role.

• Internship or project experience with cloud services, scripting, or automation will be considered an advantage.

Working Hours

• Availability for scheduled team meetings or deployments across different time zones as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
