Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Part-Time QA Tester / Software Testing Engineer to join our growing remote team. In this flexible work-from-home role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance. You will collaborate with developers, project managers, and product teams to identify bugs, suggest improvements, and contribute to delivering flawless user experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and performance issues.

  • Review and analyze system specifications and user requirements.

  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure testing coverage.

  • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test documentation.

  • Track, document, and communicate bugs and issues using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

  • Perform regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Assist in continuous improvement by contributing feedback to enhance QA processes and tools.

  • Ensure all products meet company standards and comply with best practices before release.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

  • Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, TestRail, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and agile testing processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.


Experience
