Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our growing technology team in Singapore. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal application performance.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the team.

• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

• Contribute to software architecture discussions and help define the overall technical direction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and back-end technologies (Node.js, .NET, or Django).

• Solid understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in software development or related roles.

• Experience working in agile development environments preferred.

• Exposure to cross-functional and international project collaboration will be an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Singapore Time).

• Flexible hours may be considered for remote or international candidates during relocation.
