Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Manager to oversee our logistics and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will manage the coordination, planning, and execution of transportation activities while ensuring timely delivery of goods, optimizing routes, and maintaining cost efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining smooth supply chain operations and building strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily transportation and shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation costs, routes, and schedules.

• Monitor fleet performance, vehicle maintenance schedules, and driver compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistical issues promptly.

• Track shipments, maintain records, and provide regular reports on transportation metrics, KPIs, and delivery performance.

• Negotiate contracts with transportation vendors and ensure cost-effective service agreements.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce delays, and optimize resources.

• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international transportation regulations and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of transportation, shipping, and logistics processes.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Proficient in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for route optimization and cost reduction.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage vendors, drivers, and stakeholders.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation management, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations.

• Proven experience in managing teams, fleet operations, and vendor relationships.

• Experience in implementing process improvements and logistics optimization strategies.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

• Flexibility required to handle urgent transportation issues or operational emergencies.
