Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a motivated and hardworking Carpenter Apprentice to join our residential construction team. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist skilled carpenters in performing tasks related to building, repairing, and finishing wooden structures in residential projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior carpenters in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and related materials.

  • Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for daily work activities.

  • Learn and follow safety standards and company procedures at all times.

  • Support in building frameworks, furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring.

  • Help with site preparation, clean-up, and maintenance of a safe working environment.

  • Follow instructions accurately and demonstrate willingness to learn trade techniques.

  • Perform basic calculations, read simple blueprints, and use hand and power tools under supervision.

  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop carpentry skills.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Basic understanding of construction processes and carpentry work.

  • Ability to use or willingness to learn hand tools and power tools safely.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude toward learning.

Experience

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
