Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking skilled and motivated Residential Remodeling Construction Workers to join our growing construction team. This role involves working on home improvement and renovation projects, including kitchen, bathroom, basement, and full-home remodeling. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with residential construction tasks, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general construction and remodeling tasks such as framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, and finishing.

  • Assist with demolition, removal of old structures, and preparation of work areas.

  • Install fixtures, cabinets, countertops, doors, and windows according to specifications.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project timelines.

  • Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to complete assigned tasks.

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the project.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve construction challenges as they arise.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of residential remodeling practices, methods, and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project instructions.

  • Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.

  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

  • Basic math and measurement skills.


Experience

  • Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in residential remodeling, carpentry, or general construction.

  • Entry-level candidates with strong skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week.

  • Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of remodeling techniques and home improvement best practices.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.

  • Skilled in finishing work, including painting, tiling, and carpentry.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and use of protective equipment.

  • Ability to adapt to different tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
