Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking experienced and hardworking Masonry Workers to join our team for ongoing and upcoming building construction projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling various masonry tasks, including laying bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and related construction materials, while ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role is vital to supporting the structural foundation and finishing work of our projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lay bricks, stones, and concrete blocks to build walls, foundations, partitions, and other structures.

  • Mix and prepare mortar, cement, or grout, ensuring proper consistency for construction.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to complete assigned tasks accurately.

  • Repair and maintain existing masonry structures as required.

  • Measure and cut materials to meet construction specifications.

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

  • Collaborate with construction supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Masonry Worker or similar role in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and construction techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

  • Good physical stamina, strength, and the ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding conditions.

  • Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

  • Basic understanding of safety practices in construction.


Experience

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of practical experience in masonry or related building construction work.

  • Experience in both residential and commercial construction projects will be an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: 8–9 hours per day, 6 days a week.

  • Overtime may be required based on project deadlines and schedules.

  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
