Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is currently seeking vigilant, reliable, and customer-focused individuals for the position of Hotel Night Security Guard – Entry Level. This role is ideal for those looking to start a career in security services. As a night guard, you will ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property during overnight hours, helping maintain a peaceful and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises (both inside and outside) regularly to maintain order and establish presence.

• Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access points.

• Respond promptly to disturbances, alarms, or emergencies such as thefts, unauthorized access, or guest complaints.

• Conduct routine checks of fire exits, emergency lights, and other safety equipment.

• Maintain daily security logs and incident reports in a clear and professional manner.

• Assist hotel staff and guests with safety concerns or basic inquiries during the night shift.

• Enforce property rules and regulations with professionalism and calm authority.

• Cooperate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of security operations, even if informal or gained through training.

• Good physical fitness with the ability to patrol for extended hours.

• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

• Basic computer or smartphone usage skills for monitoring systems and reporting.

• Neat appearance and respectful demeanor.

• Must be 18 years or older.

Experience

• No prior experience is necessary – Entry-level candidates are welcome.

• Previous experience in hotel security, customer service, or hospitality is an advantage but not mandatory.

• On-the-job training will be provided to selected candidates.

Working Hours

• Night Shifts Only: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Flexible scheduling options may be available based on hotel assignment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of basic security and safety procedures.

• Ability to handle conflicts and de-escalate situations effectively.

• Trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV, access control) is a plus.

• Capable of working independently and making quick decisions.
