Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively recruiting a professional and vigilant School Campus Patrol Officer for day shift operations at a partner educational institution. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure school environment for students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, excellent observation skills, and a deep commitment to protecting the well-being of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol school premises, including classrooms, hallways, entry/exit points, and outdoor areas, during school hours.

• Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals.

• Enforce campus security policies and safety procedures in line with school guidelines.

• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and provide assistance where needed.

• Conduct routine checks to ensure all doors, windows, and gates are properly secured.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incident reports, and visitor logs.

• Assist in emergency drills (e.g., fire, lockdown, evacuation).

• Provide a visible and approachable security presence to deter unwanted behavior.

• Escort students or staff when necessary to ensure safety.

• Liaise with school administrators, teachers, and local authorities when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Valid security guard license or certification as per local/state regulations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional demeanor with a calm and assertive approach.

• Basic computer literacy (for reporting and surveillance systems).

• Physically fit and able to patrol on foot throughout the day.

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in school security, campus patrol, or a related field.

• Prior work in an educational environment is a strong advantage.

• Experience handling emergency situations or working with youth is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Occasional weekend or after-hours coverage for school events may be required with advance notice.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of school safety protocols and child protection regulations.

• Ability to stay alert and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Understanding of conflict de-escalation techniques.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a security team.

• Familiarity with basic first aid or emergency response is a plus.
