Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking dedicated and vigilant Warehouse Security Personnel to join our clients logistics and storage facilities. The role is ideal for individuals who take pride in protecting people and property, particularly during nighttime operations. You will be responsible for monitoring access, conducting patrols, and ensuring the overall safety of the premises during night shifts. This is a crucial role in maintaining a secure and compliant environment, particularly within high-value storage locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor warehouse entrances and exits to control access for employees, contractors, and vehicles.

• Conduct routine and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the warehouse facility.

• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or suspicious activities.

• Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures consistently.

• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons.

• Operate surveillance systems (CCTV) and other security equipment effectively.

• Collaborate with emergency services or law enforcement if necessary.

• Assist warehouse staff during security inspections and end-of-shift lock-up procedures.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Valid Security Guard License or certification (as per local/state regulations).

• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout night shifts.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.

• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with security protocols and emergency procedures.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a security role (preferably in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial setting).

• Experience working night shifts is an added advantage.

• Prior use of CCTV systems and security tools is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours:

• Night shifts only (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM or similar based on site schedule).

• Rotational weekend shifts may apply.

• Full-time and part-time options available.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of standard security practices and procedures.

• Understanding of warehouse safety compliance and emergency response.

• Ability to act quickly, calmly, and responsibly in emergency situations.

• Proficiency in writing clear and accurate incident reports.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
