Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a vigilant, disciplined, and licensed Armed Bank Security Guard to provide a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and financial assets at client bank locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deterring criminal activity, monitoring surveillance, and enforcing safety protocols while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide armed security presence at assigned bank locations to deter criminal activity.

• Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance, routine patrols, and security checks.

• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity.

• Ensure secure entry and exit of bank staff, customers, and visitors.

• Escort bank staff during cash handling, deposits, and withdrawals when required.

• Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and irregularities.

• Communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal teams in the event of an incident.

• Ensure all security protocols and client-specific procedures are strictly followed.

• Maintain weapon safety and adhere to all legal and regulatory standards regarding firearms.

• Represent the bank and Houston Skilled Consultancy with professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Armed Security Guard License (mandatory).

• Excellent observational and situational awareness skills.

• Ability to stay calm and take immediate action in high-pressure situations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with basic security technology (CCTV, alarm systems, radios).

• Professional appearance and conduct.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role as an armed guard, preferably in banking or financial institutions.

• Prior experience with emergency response or law enforcement is a plus.

Working Hours

• Rotational shifts including day, evening, and weekend hours.

• Overtime and holiday shifts may be required depending on bank operation schedules.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding firearm usage and private security.

• Ability to assess risks and take preventative actions.

• Skilled in conflict resolution and emergency management.

• Physically fit and capable of standing/sitting for long periods.

• High integrity, accountability, and reliability.
