Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding Analyst to join our healthcare operations team in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for reviewing patient medical records and assigning accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures according to international medical coding standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a good understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to ensure 100% accuracy to support healthcare billing and insurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

• Ensure all coding is compliant with healthcare regulations and company policies.

• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and insurance teams for clarification on medical documentation.

• Audit coding data for accuracy to avoid claim denials and improve reimbursement processes.

• Maintain updated knowledge of medical coding guidelines and industry changes.

• Prepare and submit error-free coding reports to the billing and compliance teams.

• Handle confidential patient information with the highest level of discretion.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or any healthcare-related field.

• Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCA, CCS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.

• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.

• Good computer skills with experience in medical billing software.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Experience

• Fresher or 0–2 years of experience in medical coding or healthcare documentation.

• Prior experience in US healthcare or revenue cycle management will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts (Day or Rotational shifts based on business requirements).

• Monday to Friday; occasional weekend support if required.
