Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Intern to join our dynamic financial team. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial modeling, market research, and investment analysis within a professional and fast-paced environment. As an intern, you will gain exposure to the core operations of investment banking, including preparing pitch books, analyzing industry trends, and supporting senior analysts and associates in executing transactions. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates who are passionate about finance, investments, and corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial models, valuation reports, and investment presentations.

• Conduct industry research and analyze market trends to support client proposals.

• Support the team in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for potential investors.

• Help in the preparation of client presentations and deal execution documentation.

• Participate in due diligence and assist with data collection for mergers and acquisitions.

• Collaborate with senior analysts to evaluate investment opportunities and risk assessments.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and research findings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and investment concepts.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• No prior experience is required; however, previous internships or coursework in finance, banking, or corporate strategy will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible internship hours (20–30 hours per week) with the possibility of full-time conversion based on performance.

• Hybrid/remote work options may be available depending on project requirements.

• Knowledge of investment banking processes, corporate finance, and capital markets.

• Ability to perform financial analysis and interpret data to support decision-making.
