Job Summary

IndiGo Airlines is looking for enthusiastic, customer-centric, and proactive individuals to join our Airport Operations and Customer Services (AO&CS) team as Officers. As a key part of the ground staff, you will be the first point of contact for passengers and will play a vital role in delivering a smooth, safe, and high-quality travel experience. This position involves both customer service and operational responsibilities, including check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and coordination between departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist passengers at check-in counters and boarding gates.

  • Manage ticketing and reservation-related queries at the airport.

  • Ensure smooth passenger flow by guiding travelers through security, boarding, and baggage processes.

  • Handle special service requests including unaccompanied minors, wheelchair passengers, and VIP assistance.

  • Coordinate with ramp, security, and airline staff for timely flight operations.

  • Ensure adherence to all airport and airline protocols, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

  • Manage on-ground challenges and resolve passenger complaints with empathy and efficiency.

  • Perform documentation and reporting tasks related to operations and customer service.

  • Provide real-time updates to passengers regarding flight schedules, gate changes, and delays.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Graduate in any discipline from a recognized board/university.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

  • Customer-first attitude with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional appearance, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer literacy is essential.


Experience

  • Freshers are welcome to apply.

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or airport operations is an added advantage.


Working Hours

  • Rotational shifts across morning, afternoon, night, and weekends depending on flight schedules.

  • 6-day working week with 1 rotational weekly off.

  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 operational environment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good knowledge of airline policies, airport procedures, and safety protocols (training will be provided).

  • Ability to multitask and manage operational delays with calmness and professionalism.

  • Team collaboration skills to work effectively with security personnel, technical teams, and flight crew.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Capable of handling crisis situations with quick decision-making.
