Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Healthcare Data Analyst to join our dynamic hospital analytics team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across patient care, hospital operations, clinical performance, and cost optimization. You will work closely with doctors, hospital administrators, and technology teams to support a data-driven culture within a growing healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and validate structured and unstructured data from EMRs, HIS systems, lab reports, patient billing, and other healthcare data sources.

  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to track KPIs including patient outcomes, treatment costs, hospital readmissions, etc.

  • Conduct statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for quality improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (clinical, finance, operations) to deliver data insights that support operational efficiency and patient care.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports in compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations.

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all platforms and reporting systems.

  • Assist with the integration and automation of data pipelines from multiple hospital systems and third-party vendors.

  • Support quality assurance initiatives including NABH/JCI audits and clinical benchmarking.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation from healthcare databases.

  • Strong experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel (PivotTables, Charts, Power Query).

  • Knowledge of hospital operations and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech).

  • Understanding of healthcare KPIs, medical terminologies, and clinical data structures.

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and presentation skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Experience

  • 1 to 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or hospital analytics setting.

  • Experience working with healthcare quality metrics, claims data, or patient care reports is highly preferred.

  • Freshers with relevant academic projects or internships in healthcare analytics may also apply.


Working Hours

  • Full-Time | Monday to Friday (9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST)

  • Hybrid flexibility available upon project requirements and management discretion.

  • Occasional weekend availability may be required during healthcare compliance reporting deadlines.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and data governance best practices.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA, ICD codes, CPT codes, and healthcare regulatory standards.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to interpret large volumes of healthcare data.

  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments including clinical and IT teams.
