Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring Laundry Attendants for top-tier cruise liners traveling across international waters. Selected candidates will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality laundry services on board, maintaining hygiene and garment care standards, and ensuring a smooth and organized laundry operation at sea.

This role includes a free stay, onboard meals, travel perks, and assistance in securing an international work permit.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, press, and fold guest and crew garments according to cruise line standards.

• Handle uniforms, linen, towels, and guest laundry using commercial-grade machinery.

• Sort and inspect items for damage or stains and treat garments appropriately.

• Ensure proper use of detergents, chemicals, and equipment to maintain cleanliness and garment integrity.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry room at all times.

• Assist in inventory checks and report any shortages of laundry supplies.

• Tag and track guest laundry with precision for timely delivery.

• Follow safety protocols and hygiene regulations aboard the ship.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of laundry operations and fabric care.

• Ability to operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment safely.

• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

• Physically fit to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry loads.

• Team player with excellent time management and organization.

• Good verbal communication skills in English.

Experience

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of prior experience in a hotel, resort, hospital, or industrial laundry environment preferred.

• Cruise ship or maritime laundry experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.

• Freshers with strong willingness to learn may also apply.

Working Hours

• 8 to 10 hours per day, with shifts including weekends and public holidays.

• Rotational schedules in line with maritime labor laws and cruise line standards.

• Contract duration typically ranges from 6 to 9 months with potential for renewal.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of fabric types, stain removal, and washing instructions.

• Familiarity with commercial laundry operations and safe handling of chemicals.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage workload efficiently.

• Adaptability to live and work in shared spaces aboard an international cruise vessel.
