As a Waiter/Waitress on a luxury cruise liner, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for guests from across the globe. From formal dining rooms to casual buffets and specialty restaurants, you will deliver exceptional service with professionalism and a warm, welcoming attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a courteous and friendly manner.

• Present menus, make recommendations, and take food and beverage orders.

• Serve meals and drinks efficiently and according to cruise line standards.

• Provide prompt resolution to guest requests and complaints.

• Maintain cleanliness of tables and workstations before, during, and after service.

• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.

• Adhere to onboard hygiene, safety, and grooming standards at all times.

• Assist in setup and breakdown of dining areas for different shifts or events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or hotel management degree is a plus.

• Proficient in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a bonus.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Energetic, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced international environment.

• Professional demeanor, excellent personal grooming, and a positive attitude.

• Physically fit with the ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food & beverage service, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or cruise ships.

• Freshers with strong communication skills and hospitality training may also apply.

Working Hours

• Rotational shifts: 8–10 hours per day, 6 days a week.

• Contract durations typically range from 6 to 9 months onboard, followed by a break period.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of international cuisine, beverages, and fine dining etiquette.

• Ability to handle high-pressure service periods with professionalism.

• Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cruise line protocols.

• Team-oriented mindset with excellent multitasking and time management abilities.

• Sensitivity to diverse cultures and dietary preferences.
