SysTechCare Support is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer – Software Documentation to join our dynamic product and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation that supports our software products and services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to document software features, APIs, user guides, release notes, and internal manuals, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all technical materials.
Develop and maintain high-quality technical documents including user manuals, system configuration guides, API documentation, help files, and online content.
Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand and structured documentation for various audiences such as end-users, system administrators, and developers.
Work closely with software developers, product owners, and UX designers to gather technical information and understand functionality and business requirements.
Edit, standardize, and revise material prepared by other team members to ensure content consistency and adherence to the companys documentation standards.
Maintain documentation repositories using tools such as Confluence, Git, or similar platforms.
Assist in establishing and maintaining style guides and templates to standardize documentation.
Conduct peer reviews, usability testing, and feedback collection to improve documentation quality.
Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and software documentation.
Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, English, or a related field.
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Technical Writer, preferably within a software development or IT environment.
Strong proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Markdown.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
Ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and visual formats.
2–5 years of hands-on experience in technical writing, specifically in documenting software applications, systems, or APIs.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is highly desirable.
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible WFH options available).
Occasional collaboration with cross-functional teams in different time zones may be required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering concepts.
Familiarity with basic coding concepts (HTML, XML, JSON) is a plus.
Ability to adapt content for various audiences—from developers to non-technical users.
