SysTechCare Support is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist – Desktop/Server to provide comprehensive technical support for desktop systems, servers, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues, while delivering an exceptional support experience to end-users and maintaining systems performance across the organization.
Provide first and second-line support for desktop, laptop, printer, and server issues.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows/MacOS workstations and Windows/Linux servers.
Manage user accounts, security permissions, and Active Directory objects.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches.
Monitor server performance and resolve any performance issues proactively.
Provide remote support via helpdesk platforms or over the phone/email.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical teams or vendors when necessary.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
Ensure data backup and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
Proficient in server administration, system imaging, and patch management.
Knowledge of basic networking concepts: IP addressing, subnetting, firewalls, and VPNs.
Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical users.
Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in an IT support or desktop/server support role.
Experience in a multi-user IT environment with hardware/software rollout is a plus.
Previous exposure to ticketing systems and ITIL practices is advantageous.
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible with rotational on-call support as required)
Occasional weekend or after-hours support for server maintenance or upgrades
Strong customer service mindset and ability to work under pressure
