Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Backend Developer (Java + Spring Boot) to join our software engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about building scalable backend systems, designing RESTful APIs, and ensuring the performance and reliability of backend services. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side logic while collaborating with front-end developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot framework.

• Build RESTful APIs to support frontend functionalities and third-party integrations.

• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and security.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps.

• Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise in production and staging environments.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (8 or above) and Spring Boot framework.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.

• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

• Experience with tools like Maven, Gradle, and Git.

• Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).

• Basic understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).

• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience in microservices architecture is a plus.

• Exposure to agile development methodologies is preferred.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Flexible working hours available depending on project needs.

• Occasional weekend support may be required during deployments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.

• Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is an added advantage.

• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker is desirable.
