Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled and results-driven Mobile Backend (Firebase) Developer to join our dynamic remote tech team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Firebase services such as Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Hosting. You will be responsible for architecting scalable backend systems that power mobile and web applications for our global clientele. 🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Firebase-based backend infrastructure for mobile applications.

• Develop serverless functions using Firebase Cloud Functions.

• Implement secure and scalable user authentication using Firebase Authentication.

• Manage real-time data and storage using Firestore and Firebase Storage.

• Integrate third-party APIs and tools to support frontend functionalities.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to define and deliver quality features.

• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Optimize backend services for maximum scalability and performance.

• Ensure best practices in security, error handling, and deployment processes.

🛠️ Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency with Firebase products (Firestore, Firebase Auth, Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions).

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Hands-on experience with Firebase Realtime Database and Firestore rules.

• Familiarity with mobile app development frameworks (Flutter, React Native, or native).

• Understanding of CI/CD tools and deployment in Firebase Hosting or GCP.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and debugging capabilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

📚 Experience

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience using Firebase in a production environment.

• Prior experience in mobile-first or cross-platform application projects is preferred.

⏰ Working Hours

• Flexible working hours with core collaboration expected between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST.

• Must be available for sprint planning, stand-ups, and review calls in a remote team setting.
