Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Angular Testing Specialist with expertise in automation testing tools like Cypress or TestCafe. This remote role is ideal for professionals with strong front-end testing experience and a deep understanding of Angular application architecture. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, QA teams, and product managers to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance in all our Angular applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Cypress or TestCafe for Angular applications.

• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define and implement end-to-end testing strategies.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing across various browsers and devices.

• Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.

• Troubleshoot and isolate issues found during testing and coordinate with developers for resolution.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to continuous testing, CI/CD processes, and automation pipeline improvements.

• Stay current with emerging testing tools, trends, and best practices in Angular and JavaScript testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in writing automated tests using Cypress and/or TestCafe.

• Solid understanding of Angular framework and its component lifecycle.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML/CSS.

• Experience with RESTful APIs testing and mocking/stubbing tools.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and test reporting tools.

• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in front-end test automation for Angular applications.

• Demonstrated expertise in using Cypress or TestCafe in production-grade projects.

• Experience in testing scalable web applications across different devices and browsers.

Working Hours

• Full-Time | Flexible Remote Hours

• Core collaboration hours: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday)

• Occasional availability may be required for cross-functional meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of web application testing principles.

• Ability to write modular, reusable, and maintainable test code.

• Familiarity with performance and load testing is a plus.

• Knowledge of testing Angular services, components, directives, and pipes.

• Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
