Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented UI Library Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable, reusable component library that powers multiple enterprise-grade applications. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and product managers to ensure visual and functional consistency across the product suite. 🎯 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust and reusable component library using modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, QA) to translate UI/UX designs into clean, scalable code.

• Implement and maintain styling standards using CSS-in-JS, SCSS, or utility-first frameworks like TailwindCSS.

• Develop, document, and maintain clear usage guidelines and API documentation for UI components.

• Ensure components are accessible, responsive, and follow internationalization standards.

• Write unit and integration tests to maintain the quality and reliability of the component library.

• Optimize performance and usability across devices and platforms.

• Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development best practices.

✅ Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework such as React.js (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js.

• Deep understanding of component-based architecture and design systems.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and package managers like npm/yarn.

• Experience with Storybook, Figma integration, and accessibility (WCAG standards).

• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and animation libraries.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

💼 Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in front-end development with a focus on reusable UI component libraries.

• Prior experience in maintaining a company-wide design system or component framework is highly desirable.

• Fully remote and flexible working hours.
