Job Summary

GracePath Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-Out Care Assistants to join our growing team of healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for candidates currently residing in the UK and seeking a sponsorship opportunity through a Tier 2 Skilled Worker Visa, especially for those eligible for switching from a student, dependent, or graduate visa. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care services to elderly and vulnerable individuals in their own homes, ensuring they live with dignity, safety, and comfort.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.

  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of hoists or other aids.

  • Support with medication administration and meal preparation.

  • Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering trust and comfort.

  • Monitor and report changes in clients health or behaviour to the care manager.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of daily care activities and observations.

  • Promote independence while respecting client preferences and privacy.

  • Adhere to GracePath Healthcares safeguarding and confidentiality policies.

  • Attend regular training, supervisions, and team meetings to ensure continuous professional development.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.

  • Ability to follow care plans and work under supervision.

  • Basic written and spoken English proficiency.

  • Commitment to providing person-centred care.

  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Experience

  • Previous experience in domiciliary care, elderly care, or healthcare assistance is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Freshers and career switchers with the right attitude and willingness to learn are welcome to apply.

  • Training will be provided for suitable candidates.


Working Hours

  • Full-time hours: 35–48 hours per week (Live-out).

  • Flexible shifts available, including:

    • Morning (7:00 am – 2:00 pm)

    • Evening (4:00 pm – 10:00 pm)

    • Weekend rotations required.

  • Overtime available with enhanced pay rates.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in care settings.

  • Awareness of safeguarding practices and client confidentiality.

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage time effectively.

  • Skilled in building trust and rapport with clients and families.

  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks and training certifications.
