Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a talented and creative YouTube Video Editor to join our remote freelance team. As a YouTube Video Editor, you will transform raw video footage into polished, engaging content optimized for YouTube and other social platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Edit YouTube videos, including jump cuts, transitions, audio syncing, titles, and motion graphics.

• Collaborate with content creators to understand the brand voice and creative direction.

• Add music, sound effects, animations, captions, and visual effects where needed.

• Ensure videos meet formatting and quality standards suitable for YouTube SEO.

• Manage multiple editing projects with fast turnaround times.

• Create video thumbnails and help with uploading to YouTube if required.

• Stay current with YouTube trends, styles, and algorithm updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.

• Understanding of aspect ratios, frame rates, and export settings for YouTube.

• Creative mindset with an eye for detail and timing.

• Basic understanding of YouTube video optimization, such as title screens, end screens, and viewer retention techniques.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Experience

• Minimum 6 months of freelance or professional video editing experience.
