Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance (QA) team. As a Junior Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues early in the development cycle. Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects in software applications.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA leads to understand product requirements and develop effective test strategies.

• Report, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools accurately and promptly.

• Assist in the preparation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications.

• Participate in regression testing to verify bug fixes and new feature implementations.

• Continuously learn and apply industry best practices for software testing.

• Support the QA team in improving testing processes and tools.

• Ensure timely communication of testing progress and results to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).

• Familiarity with manual testing techniques and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

• Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) is a plus but not mandatory.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to think critically about software functionality.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience

• 0-2 years of experience in software testing or a related technical role.

• Internship or project experience in QA/testing will be considered an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (flexibility may be required based on project needs).

• Remote or hybrid work options may be available depending on company policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is beneficial.

• Understanding of database concepts and ability to execute simple SQL queries.
