Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Literacy Teacher to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching internet and email basics to adult learners in an online setting. Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and offer guidance to improve their skills.

• Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions as necessary to address individual student needs.

• Monitor student participation and engagement in the course, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Stay updated with the latest digital tools and resources to enhance the learning experience.

• Maintain records of student progress and course completion.

• Respond to student queries and offer technical assistance with internet and email usage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education, Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience teaching digital literacy, internet basics, or related subjects.

• Strong understanding of internet navigation, email systems, and other basic online tools.

• Proficient in using online teaching platforms and digital tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams).

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, clear, and engaging manner.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Patience and empathy for learners with varying levels of technical proficiency.

• Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet diverse learning styles.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a digital literacy or similar role.

• Experience teaching adult learners is preferred.

• Experience in designing and developing online curriculum and materials.

• Prior experience in a remote teaching environment is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time or part-time remote position with flexible hours.

• Hours will be scheduled according to student needs and availability, with some evening or weekend work required.

• In-depth knowledge of internet navigation, email systems, and online communication tools.
