Job Summary:

MNC JOBS INFO is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Executive to join our US Healthcare Process team based in Vikhroli. The Medical Billing Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely billing of medical claims, collaborating with insurance providers, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless claims processing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Billing & Coding: Accurately process medical claims and billing data for patients, ensuring all services provided are captured and coded according to healthcare standards (CPT, ICD-10).

  • Claims Follow-up: Track and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to clarify any discrepancies, process additional information, and resolve billing issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all billing and claims-related documents in line with company policies.

  • Compliance: Ensure all medical billing practices comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.) and best practices.

  • Reports: Generate regular reports regarding outstanding claims, reimbursements, and the status of billing submissions.

  • Problem Resolution: Investigate billing issues, work with the insurance company and internal teams to resolve disputes, and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing & Coding, or any related field.

  • Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or a similar certification will be a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare administrative roles. Experience in US Healthcare processes is highly preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Kareo, AthenaHealth, or Epic), and strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and correct billing errors quickly.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both internal teams and external healthcare professionals.

  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.


Experience:

  • Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years in medical billing or US healthcare processes.

  • Preferred Experience: Experience with insurance claims processing, denials management, and knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare environment or with US healthcare insurance companies is highly desirable.


Working Hours:

  • Shift: Full-time (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday).

  • Additional Hours: Occasional overtime may be required based on project deadlines or workflow demands.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth Knowledge of US Healthcare Billing: Understanding of the US healthcare insurance system, including the different types of payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance).

  • Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terms, healthcare coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), and HIPAA regulations.

  • Problem-solving Ability: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to claims and billing processes effectively.
