Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the compliance of manufacturing processes with both internal and external standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products that exceed customer expectations while enhancing operational efficiency and reducing defects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead quality assurance efforts for new product designs and manufacturing processes.

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure consistent production quality.

• Conduct product and process audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues.

• Define and maintain quality metrics and KPIs to track and improve manufacturing performance.

• Use root cause analysis techniques, such as 8D and Fishbone diagrams, to identify the underlying causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

• Lead quality improvement projects using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.

• Ensure that all regulatory requirements and company policies are met throughout the manufacturing process.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and other team members.

• Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and present findings to senior management.

• Support customer audits and manage the resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing setting, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and other relevant industry standards.

• Expertise in statistical process control (SPC), process mapping, and data analysis techniques.

• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and fabrication.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from shop floor workers to senior management.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership position in the manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and managing quality control processes.

• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean certifications is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation and robotics, is a plus.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines or production demands.

• Flexible working arrangements may be considered based on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software tools.

• In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulatory compliance specific to the manufacturing industry.

• Ability to mentor and develop team members to enhance overall department performance.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
