As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall sheets.
Cut and fit drywall sheets around mechanical systems and openings using hand and power tools.
Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
Install ceiling and wall insulation where required.
Tape and finish joints, corners, and angles to prepare surfaces for painting.
Apply sealing compounds over seams and screw holes to create smooth surfaces.
Follow blueprints and building codes to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic precision.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure efficient workflow.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade certification in drywall installation (preferred, but not mandatory).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment associated with drywall installation.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and heights.
Good eye for detail and quality workmanship.
Basic math and measuring skills.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a drywall installer or similar role in the construction sector.
International experience is acceptable.
Experience in Canada is considered an asset but not mandatory.
Full-time position: 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime.
Standard shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
Flexibility required depending on project deadlines and site demands.
Knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Time management and problem-solving capabilities.
Awareness of workplace safety standards and practices.
