Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and backhoes to perform construction tasks.

• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Load and unload materials, clear work sites, and assist with other duties as needed.

• Follow site and company safety protocols at all times.

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, or job orders.

• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, co-workers, and other team members.

• Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues promptly.

• Maintain accurate operational records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid certification/license for heavy equipment operation (as per Canadian provincial requirements).

• Ability to work under pressure in all weather conditions.

• Strong understanding of construction safety protocols.

• Basic mechanical aptitude to perform preventive maintenance.

• Good communication skills (English proficiency required).

• Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in construction, mining, or industrial sectors.

• International experience is welcome; training on Canadian safety standards will be provided.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position

• 40–50 hours/week (overtime may be required based on project needs)

• Day and night shifts may be applicable depending on project deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment and its capabilities/limitations.

• Ability to assess terrain and work conditions to determine proper equipment usage.

• Willingness to relocate and legally work in Canada under LMIA approval.

• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
