Job Summary:

The Elite Job is seeking dedicated and hands-on Maintenance Support Staff to join our dynamic team managing airport facilities in South Africa. As a key contributor to our operations, you will assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully functional environment for travelers, staff, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily upkeep and inspection of airport facilities, including terminals, restrooms, waiting areas, and service zones.

• Support maintenance technicians with minor repairs and general facility maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and airport operational standards.

• Monitor inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and report shortages.

• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies efficiently and professionally.

• Support the preparation and arrangement of areas for special events or VIP visits.

• Coordinate with contractors and service providers when necessary.

• Document all maintenance activities accurately and submit reports as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School Certificate or equivalent.

• Basic understanding of maintenance operations or facility services.

• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physically fit and able to lift, stand, and walk for long periods.

• Willingness to work in a secure and sensitive environment.

Experience:

• Previous experience in facility maintenance, custodial services, or a similar support role preferred but not required.

• Experience working in high-traffic or high-security environments (airports, malls, hospitals, etc.) is an added advantage.

Working Hours:

• Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

• Morning, afternoon, and night shifts available (flexibility required).

• Full-time position (40–48 hours/week depending on schedule and operational needs).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

• Ability to handle maintenance tools and equipment with care.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Team player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
