Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team on a home-based, flexible hours basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transcribing and editing medical reports from audio recordings provided by healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical reports, summaries, and notes from dictated recordings.

• Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

• Verify patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.

• Identify inconsistencies or errors in dictations and seek clarification when necessary.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of completed transcriptions.

• Work with healthcare professionals to understand and apply medical terminology correctly.

• Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality transcription standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.

• Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

• Excellent listening and typing skills with high accuracy.

• Familiarity with medical transcription software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in medical transcription or a related field.

• Previous experience working with hospitals, clinics, or private practices is a plus.

• Certification in medical transcription (e.g., Certified Medical Transcriptionist - CMT) is preferred but not required.
