Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking qualified and reliable local and long-distance drivers to fill immediate openings. As a driver for our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and adherence to transportation laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles for local and long-distance deliveries.
• Transport goods and passengers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a secure driving environment.
• Maintain detailed logs of routes, hours, mileage, and any incidents during the trip.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as ensuring oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clients satisfaction and delivering on promises.
• Adhere to company policies and industry regulations at all times.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring that the load is secured properly.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or damage immediately to the management team.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and the logistics team to ensure route optimization and timely deliveries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive long distances while maintaining focus and attention to safety.
• Knowledge of local and national roads, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading duties.
• Experience with GPS and route navigation tools.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a commercial driver or in a similar driving role is preferred, but not required.
• Proven track record of safe driving and excellent customer service.
• Experience with local and long-distance routes is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance is an advantage.

Working Hours:

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Flexible schedules for both local and long-distance driving opportunities.
• Must be available for weekend shifts as required.
• Overnight stays may be required for long-distance routes.

• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety practices, and vehicle operation.
• Ability to work long hours on the road, including driving at night or over weekends.
