Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Operate buses and coaches safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety rules and regulations.
• Passenger Assistance: Ensure passengers are properly seated, assist them with luggage, and provide information regarding the tour schedule and stops.
• Route Planning: Familiarize yourself with planned routes and destinations, and adapt to any last-minute changes or road conditions.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring that the bus is in good condition and clean.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers throughout the journey.
• Timely Arrivals: Maintain punctuality, ensuring that all departures and arrivals are on time.
• Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle any emergencies and ensure the safety of all passengers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Driving License: Must possess a valid commercial driving license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for bus operation.
• Experience: Previous experience driving tourist buses or commercial vehicles is preferred.
• Customer Service Skills: Strong ability to interact with customers, providing a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle long hours on the road and deal with the physical demands of the job.
• Safety Conscious: A strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and defensive driving techniques.
• Good Communication Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Clean Driving Record: No major traffic violations or accidents in the last 5 years.

Experience

• Minimum Experience: 2 years of driving experience, particularly in tourism, transportation, or passenger services.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in long-distance travel and customer-facing roles within the transportation or tourism industry.

Working Hours

• Shift Hours: Full-time, 6 days a week with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Tour Schedules: Shifts will vary depending on tour timings, with extended hours required for longer trips.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Route Knowledge: Familiarity with major tourist attractions in and around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
• Vehicle Management: Basic knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Tourism Knowledge: Ability to provide basic information on local attractions and destinations.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure that safety procedures are followed and passengers needs are met during the journey.
