Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of products and inventory within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and store goods, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products and materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets, ensuring accurate placement of items.
• Transport goods to designated storage areas, following organizational procedures.
• Perform inventory checks and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
• Assist in the preparation of orders for shipping, ensuring all products are handled with care and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by following company safety protocols and guidelines.
• Complete daily equipment inspections to ensure forklifts and other machinery are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with other team members and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including organizing shipments, sorting products, and handling incoming/outgoing materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts, preferably in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and processing shipments.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse setting.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar warehouse role is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse operations is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Overtime may be required during peak seasons.
