Job Summary:

As an Amazon Fulfillment Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fulfillment center. You will manage a team of associates, ensuring they meet the expected operational targets in a safe and efficient manner. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing workflow, improving performance, and ensuring customer orders are processed and shipped accurately.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of fulfillment associates, ensuring adherence to established procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the performance of operational tasks, including picking, packing, sorting, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure that all targets and deadlines are met with a focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
  • Monitor the quality and productivity of associates, providing ongoing training and coaching to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, HR, and maintenance, to resolve any issues that may impact operational efficiency.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure that all associates are following proper safety protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to drive operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on daily performance metrics, including key operational statistics.
  • Assist in managing scheduling, staffing, and workforce management to meet peak and off-peak demands.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback and guidance to associates on an ongoing basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate a team.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures in a fulfillment center environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage resources effectively.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume fulfillment or distribution center is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams, achieving performance targets, and driving continuous improvement in an operational environment.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required based on operational needs.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods to meet performance targets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices (Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational priorities and business needs.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, creating a positive and productive work environment.
