Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and analytical Business Analyst to join our Warehousing & Distribution team at Amazon. In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights to drive operational excellence, optimize warehouse processes, and enhance distribution efficiency. Your contributions will be key in shaping the future of Amazons supply chain operations and ensuring the smooth flow of products from suppliers to customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with operations, logistics, and technology teams to implement innovative solutions and improve productivity across the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the warehousing and distribution processes.
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize warehouse layout, inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation processes.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to design and implement process improvements and automation in the distribution network.
  • Support the forecasting and planning of warehouse capacity and resource allocation to meet demand fluctuations.
  • Monitor and track the performance of operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with business goals and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of business cases for new projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing the distribution network.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership, offering actionable recommendations and solutions for ongoing improvements.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making in strategic initiatives, including cost reduction efforts and efficiency improvements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and ensure successful project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Business Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, or related role, preferably in a warehousing or distribution environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and experience with data visualization and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related field, with hands-on experience working in warehousing, logistics, or distribution.
  • Experience in process improvement, business process mapping, or automation projects.
  • Familiarity with Amazons warehousing and distribution processes is a plus.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable results in previous roles.

Working Hours
